Major duct excision (Hadfield)

For duct ectasia

PROCEDURE
Circumareolar incision but less than 3/5 nipple to ensure blood supply
Cut subcutaneous tissue down to the ducts
Dissect in subcutaneous plane circumferentially around terminal lactiferous ducts
Divide ducts close to nipple and remove with a small conical wedge of tissue
